Zum Gl\u00fcck. Die Anreise ist nicht ganz ohne: erst f\u00fcnf Stunden Busfahrt bis Guayaquil, dort Ankunft um halb f\u00fcnf Uhr morgens, dann zwei Stunden abh\u00e4ngen auf dem Busbahnhof. Unsere Augen sind rot und brennen. Und noch weitere f\u00fcnf Stunden Busfahrt. In der Zeit ist man Business Class von Hamburg nach Singapore geflogen. <img src=\"https:\/\/atanga.de\/wp-content\/plugins\/classic-smilies\/img\/icon_rolleyes.gif\" alt=\":roll:\" class=\"wp-smiley\" style=\"height: 1em; max-height: 1em;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Aber jetzt ist alles wieder gut. Zaruma ist reizend und kann auf eine lange Gold-Geschichte zur\u00fcck blicken. Hier hat schon mal jeder nach dem begehrten Metall gebuddelt. Erst die <strong><span style=\"color: #6a6a6a;\">Ka\u00f1ari<\/span><\/strong>, ein indigener Stamm in Ecuador. Diese wurden vertrieben von den Inka. Nach dem Untergang der Inka-Kultur trieben die Spanier mit Hilfe von Sklaven den Goldabbau voran. Jetzt l\u00e4uft Zaruma Gefahr zusammenzubrechen. 2017 st\u00fcrzte im Zentrum bereits eine Schule ein. Ein weit verzweigtes Stollensystem hat Zaruma zu einem Schwamm werden lassen. Die erste Stadt in S\u00fcdamerika, die\u00a0wir sehen, die nicht im Schachbrett-System gebaut wurde. Unzerst\u00f6rbares Tropenholz. So benannt, weil fr\u00fcher die Spanier einen Sechsten Teil an den K\u00f6nig in Spanien vom gefundenen Gold abgeben mussten. Bereits die Inkas haben hier gesch\u00fcrft.<br \/>\nDie Sextina ist zwar seit 25 Jahren geschlossen, aber Besucher d\u00fcrfen noch f\u00fcnfhundert Meter in einen alten Stollen hinein, danach kommt ein Gitter.<\/p>\n<p>Der Eintritt ist frei. Wir d\u00fcrfen ohne Begleitung rein. Gut, verlaufen kann man sich nicht, es gibt nur einen Gang. Aber es verwundert uns dann doch. Es besteht Helmpflicht f\u00fcr alle Besucher und Gummistiefel stehen am Eingang bereit. Es ist ja unter Tage immer ein wenig unheimlich. Wird der Stollen nun auch noch diesen einen Tag l\u00e4nger halten? Man kann es nur hoffen. Jetzt bitte keinen Stromausfall. Ein Blick in das G\u00e4stebuch im winzigen Museum zeigt, dass ausl\u00e4ndische G\u00e4ste sich hierher kaum verirren. Das wird diesem h\u00fcbschen, gem\u00fctlichen Ort nicht gerecht. Dazu perfektes Wetter, sommerlich am Tag, fr\u00fchlingshafte Temperaturen in der Nacht. Die Bev\u00f6lkerung ist sehr hellh\u00e4utig, indigene Z\u00fcge sind mit europ\u00e4ischen l\u00e4ngst verschmolzen. Hier l\u00e4uft auch niemand mehr in Trachten, so wie im Norden in den Bergen.<br \/>\nDie Region hat Geld.\u00a0 Die H\u00e4user sind gut in Schu\u00df, die Autos gro\u00df. Zu gro\u00df f\u00fcr die verwinkelten Gassen. Der kleine Ort ist zu Sto\u00dfzeiten ein Chaos. Der einzige Wehmutstropfen an Zaruma.<br \/>\nIm Nachbardorf soll es einen Fu\u00dfballplatz, der auf dem Schutt einer alten\u00a0Mine errichtet wurde.
