Ging doch fr\u00fcher auch ohne. Dabei ist man auf der Insel um Umweltschutz und Recycling sehr bem\u00fcht. Seit dem ersten Januar gibt es keine Plastikt\u00fcten mehr in den L\u00e4den und Schilder mahnen vor Umwelts\u00fcnden. Jeden Tag k\u00f6nnen wir uns eine andere Veranstaltung ansehen. Fr\u00fcher ging es darum, wer den gr\u00f6\u00dften Moai vor seinem Dorf stehen hatte. Also wurde Stoff aus Bl\u00e4ttern hergestellt. Die Bl\u00e4tter wurden auf einen Stein oder Stamm mit einem Kn\u00fcppel und Wasser solange bearbeitet, bis sich die Zellulose zu einem festen Tuch vernetzte.
