Als wir wieder an der Ostk\u00fcste angekommen sind (nach 8 Monaten), begann das wahre Abenteuer. \u00dcber die coolsten Strecken ins Zentrum und \u00fcber die Simpson zur\u00fcck in den S\u00fcden. Der verr\u00fcckteste Abschnitt. Von dort ging es an der K\u00fcste entlang gegen den Uhrzeigersinn zur\u00fcck nach Bundaberg.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Geschenkt bekommt man so eine Rundreise nicht. Und damit meine ich nicht die Kosten. <img src=\"https:\/\/atanga.de\/wp-content\/plugins\/classic-smilies\/img\/icon_mrgreen.gif\" alt=\":mrgreen:\" class=\"wp-smiley\" style=\"height: 1em; max-height: 1em;\" \/><br \/>\nUm in einem Gel\u00e4ndewagen mit Dachzelt 31.000 rund Australien zu fahren, braucht man eine gute Portion Abenteuerlust. Ein Hang zum Anspruchslosen hilft. Mit Klapptisch und zwei St\u00fchlen h\u00e4ngt man am unteren Ende der Camper-Nahrungskette. Spartanischer geht nicht.<br \/>\nDas f\u00fchrt zum einzigen Nachteil unserer Reise: Null Privatsph\u00e4re!<br \/>\nKein Raum zum Zur\u00fcckziehen. Das Dachzelt kann man tags\u00fcber vergessen. Es ist einfach zu hei\u00df. Sich nach einer Wanderung mal f\u00fcr eine halbe Stunde lang machen k\u00f6nnen, haben wir vermisst. Nicht nur einfach, besonders wenn es regnet oder extrem hei\u00df ist.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Der Rest war gr\u00f6\u00dfer, besser, anders als wir es erwartet haben. Anstrengend zuweilen, klar. 47 Grad Hitze ist kein Pappenstiel. Fliegen-Invasionen sind mit steigender Tagestemperatur zunehmend schwerer zu ertragen. R\u00fcttelpisten bringen Mensch und Maschine nahe an die Leistungsgrenzen. In Australien tendiert alles extrem zu sein. Extrem hei\u00df, extrem einsam, extreme Stra\u00dfenbedingungen. Extrem phantastisch!<br \/>\nAm besten hat uns das Outback gefallen. Endlose Steppen und Halbw\u00fcsten. Unwirtlich. Schwer zu begreifen. Menschenleer. Und ein bisschen gef\u00e4hrlich. Zwischen endlosen Kilometer Schotterpisten liegen Gebirge mit Schluchten nicht von dieser Welt. Der Mars muss als Vergleich herhalten. Die Sch\u00f6nheit der Schluchten nimmt einem den Atem. Perfekte Harmonie \u2013 alles passt zusammen. Kein Tag ohne Tiere. Nicht jeder liebt Schlangen. Wir finden sie gro\u00dfartig. Spannende Viecher, aber schwierig zu finden. Die meisten hauen ab, bevor man n\u00e4her kommt.<br \/>\nK\u00e4ngurus und die anderen Beuteltiere machen gute Laune. Echte Touristen-Lieblinge. Zweimal hatten wir das Gl\u00fcck in freier Wildbahn auf Koalas zu treffen.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Australien hat \u00fcber 60.000 Kilometer K\u00fcstenlinie, alle Buchten und Inseln einberechnet. Wir haben uns von den K\u00fcsten etwas fern gehalten \u2013 ungef\u00e4hr nur 7.500 Kilometer sind wir am Wasser entlang gefahren. Und auf die Osterinsel segeln.<br \/>\nDer Roadtrip rund Australien ist die Kr\u00f6nung. Einer der besten Einf\u00e4lle, den wir je hatten. Erst hatten wir acht Monate geplant, um schnell auf vierzehn Monate zu verl\u00e4ngert. Der Trip war genau unser Ding. Freiheit pur.<br \/>\nJetzt h\u00e4ngt die Karte im Salon. Wir staunen noch immer \u00fcber die Strecke.
