Ich hatte gro\u00dfe Erwartung an die Kanalinseln und habe mich sehr auf diese gefreut. Und meine Erwartung werden \u00fcbertroffen.<\/p>\n<p>Die K\u00fcste hat mal traumhafte Sandstr\u00e4nde in perfekter Sichelform und mal schroffe, abweisende Felsenabschnitte.<br \/>\nDas innere ist gr\u00fcn und fruchtbar, es gibt, vor allem an den H\u00e4ngen zum Wasser hin riesige Fl\u00e4chen, die von ca. 80 cm hohem Farn bewachsen sind. Auf dem &#8222;Hochplateau&#8220; w\u00e4chst Heide, Stechginster, bl\u00fchendes Wollgras, Grasnelken und viele weitere Wiesenblumen und Gr\u00e4ser, die im Augenblick um die Wette eifern, wer am sch\u00f6nsten bl\u00fcht.<br \/>\nZum Teil erinnert einen der Bewuchs an d\u00e4nische Inseln, w\u00fcchsen dazwischen nicht mediterrane Pflanzen wie die Mittagsblumen. Wenn man sich die Insel erwandert, ist man praktisch den ganzen Tag alleine und trifft kaum auf andere Menschen.<br \/>\nEs gibt hier eine gro\u00dfe Kolonie der T\u00f6lpel, die wir schon auf Helgoland gesehen haben und manchmal auch Papageitaucher.<br \/>\nAlderney ist recht klein (3 km x 5 km) und besiedelt mit 1.900 Einwohnern.<br \/>\nDer kleine Ort St. Anna kommt englisch r\u00fcber, ist sehr gepflegt und \u00fcberall h\u00e4ngen die ber\u00fchmten hanging baskets.<br \/>\nAnders als in D\u00e4nemark ist Alderney nicht dabei auszubluten.<br \/>\nW\u00e4hrend in D\u00e4nemark die D\u00f6rfer auf solch kleinen Inseln halb leer stehen, nur noch alte Leute dort wohnen und man H\u00e4user mit 5.000 qm Grund f\u00fcr &#8217;nen Appel und &#8217;n Ei bekommt, ist St. Anna offensichtlich boom town.<br \/>\nH\u00e4user fangen bei 250.000 Pfund (!) an und gehen weit h\u00f6her als 500.000 Pfund.<br \/>\nEs gibt eine super Infrastruktur, mit Schlachter, Kr\u00e4mer, dem gut sortiertem \u00f6rtlichem Obi und eine gut besuchte Schule.<br \/>\nDazu dieses milde Klima von Fr\u00fchjahr bis Herbst und praktisch nie Frost oder Schneefall. Toll!<br \/>\nWir k\u00f6nnen Alderney als Urlaubsziel sehr empfehlen.<\/p>\n<p>Das einzige, was uns nicht gefallen hat, war der f\u00fcrchterliche Schwell im Hafen.<br \/>\nEs rollen ungesicherte Gurken vom Tisch, im Schrank kippen Tassen um und die ganze Nacht wird man hin- und hergetrudelt.<br \/>\nBesonders unangenehm, wenn man auf dem Bauch oder R\u00fccken liegt, das untere Drittel des K\u00f6rpers bleibt auf den Lacken liegen und die oberen zwei Drittel bewegen sich von rechts nach links.<br \/>\nUm sechs wacht man ger\u00e4dert auf und es hilft nur noch sich gegenseitig abzust\u00fctzen und zu verkeilen.
