Beim Einlaufen in die Marina m\u00fcssen wir drei monstr\u00f6se \u00d6lplattformen passieren. Diese liegen bereits seit einem dreiviertel Jahr im Hafen f\u00fcr Wartungsarbeiten.<\/p>\n<p>Die Stadt ist gespalten, ob dies ein Fluch oder Segen f\u00fcr die Region ist. Zum einen geben die Wartungsarbeiten den \u00f6rtlichen Schwei\u00dfern und Handwerkern auf Monate Arbeit und es werden betr\u00e4chtliche Summen an Hafengeb\u00fchren f\u00e4llig. Aber auf der anderen Seite wird bem\u00e4ngelt, dass den einlaufenden Kreuzfahrtschiffen kein sch\u00f6ner Anblick geboten wird.<\/p>\n<p>Dass\u00a0wir ebenfalls diesem Anblick ausgesetzt sind, bleibt in der Presse unerw\u00e4hnt. <img src=\"https:\/\/atanga.de\/wp-content\/plugins\/classic-smilies\/img\/icon_wink.gif\" alt=\";-)\" class=\"wp-smiley\" style=\"height: 1em; max-height: 1em;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Auch vom Liegeplatz aus, haben wir noch gute Sicht auf die Monster. Beide liegen sie im \u00e4u\u00dfersten Nord-Osten der jeweiligen Insel. Aber hier hat man sich das etwas geschickter \u00fcberlegt und in den Norden ein 1.000 Meter hohes Gebirge gesetzt. Dies sorgt daf\u00fcr, dass die Wolken h\u00e4ngen bleiben, bevor sie die Stadt erreichen. Somit haben wir seit unserer Ankunft strahlend blauen Himmel und Temperaturen von deutlich \u00fcber 20 Grad.<\/p>\n<p>Der Eindruck von Santa Cruz nach unseren ersten Rundg\u00e4ngen f\u00e4llt sehr positiv auf.<br \/>\nIm unmittelbaren Vergleich zu Las Palmas ist es hier gr\u00fcner, moderner und schicker, allerdings auch touristischer. Hier merkt man es sehr wohl, wenn sich die Passagiere von drei Kreuzfahrern in der Altstadt tummeln.<\/p>\n<p>Die Markthalle \u201eNuestra Se\u00f1ora de Africa\u201c ist der sch\u00f6nste Marktplatz unserer bisherigen Reise. Das 60 Jahre alte Bauwerk wurde im Stil von amerikanischen Fort-Anlagen konzipiert. In der Mitte eine Turm, ein zentraler Platz und \u00fcberdachte Innenh\u00f6fe. Die Kunden wandeln in der Sonne, w\u00e4hrend die H\u00e4ndler immer im Schatten stehen.
