Mai 15, La Palma, Tag 361, 2.587 sm von HH<\/em><\/p>\n<p>ist die reichste Frau der Insel.<br \/>\nDiese Beschreibung hat sie ausschlie\u00dflich ihren, mit Edelstein verzierten, wertvollen Kleidern zu verdanken. Mit diesen Kleidern verh\u00fcllt sie dann auch geschickt ihr hohes Alter.<br \/>\nDie Se\u00f1ora ist n\u00e4mlich bereits fast 600 Jahre alt.<br \/>\nSie ist 82 cm gro\u00df, aus Terrakotta, stammt urspr\u00fcnglich aus Antwerpen und ist die offizielle Schutzheilige von Santa Cruz. Und Sofia, die Ex-K\u00f6nigin von Spanien ist bereits seit 1977 ihre Hofdame.<\/p>\n<p>Passend zu ihrem Alter wohnt sie in einer ebenso alten Kirche. Die liegt vier Kilometer oberhalb von Santa Cruz in Las Nieves. Und dort besuchen wir sie.<br \/>\nDer steile Weg f\u00fchrt uns aus der Stadt, parallel zu einem Barranco, heraus. Nach den Hochh\u00e4usern am Stadtrand, \u00e4ndert die Bebauung sich und wir\u00a0kommen wir an sch\u00f6nen Fincas vorbei.<br \/>\nDie abenteuerlich in die steilen Felsw\u00e4nde gebaute Behausungen sehen sehr \u00e4rmlich aus.<br \/>\nZum Teil stehen diese leer oder dienen als Stall. Aber vielfach sind sie bewohnt. \/>\nDie Kirche ist nicht sehr gro\u00df, schummrig und die Jungfrau, indirekt beleuchtet, \u00fcberstrahlt alles.<br \/>\nWinzig klein das Gesicht, \u00fcberfrachtet von den wertvollen Klamotten.<br um die Kirche streifen, duftet es verf\u00fchrerisch nach Gesottenem und Gebratenem.<br \/>\nHier gibt es endlich gegrillte Ziege, die ich schon alle Kanaren-Inseln vergeblich gesucht habe. Aber f\u00fcr eine komplette Mahlzeit ist es noch zu fr\u00fch.<br \/>\nDer B\u00e4renhunger ist noch nicht wirklich da. Daher setzten wir uns gem\u00fctlich unter die sch\u00f6nen Jacarandas und knabbern an unseren mitgebrachten Br\u00f6tchen.<br \/>\nAber wir werden wieder kommen mit gro\u00dfem Hunger. Darauf freue ich mich jetzt schon.<\/p>\n<p>Daf\u00fcr essen wir abends in der Marina eine ganz gute Pizza.<br \/>\nNoch immer lassen die wirklich milden Abende auf sich warten, so dass wir leider nicht auf der Terrasse sitzen k\u00f6nnen.
