{"id":4993,"date":"2015-12-09T19:45:13","date_gmt":"2015-12-09T19:45:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/atanga.de\/?p=4993"},"modified":"2015-12-12T10:03:24","modified_gmt":"2015-12-12T10:03:24","slug":"ueber-den-atlantik-rudern","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/atanga.de\/?p=4993","title":{"rendered":"\u00dcber den Atlantik rudern"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Di., 08.Dez.15, Tag 556, La Gomera, 2.961 sm von HH<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Wer unsere Idee mit einem Segelboot den Atlantik zu queren f\u00fcr beknackt, mutig oder total unvern\u00fcnftig h\u00e4lt, der kennt noch nicht die komplett durchgeknallten Jungs und M\u00e4dels, die sich zur Zeit in San Sebastian tummeln.<\/p>\n<p>Es handelt sich um Teilnehmer der<\/p>\n<h2><small>Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge<\/small><\/h2>\n<p>Die wollen \u00fcber den Atlantik rudern. <img src=\"https:\/\/atanga.de\/wp-content\/plugins\/classic-smilies\/img\/icon_eek.gif\" alt=\":shock:\" class=\"wp-smiley\" style=\"height: 1em; max-height: 1em;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Insgesamt sind es 26 Teams, die alleine, zu zweit oder als Vierer in ca. 7 Meter langen Ruderbooten von La Gomera nach Antigua rudern wollen. Start dieses unfassbar harten Rennens ist am 15. Dezember.<\/p>\n<p>Die Ruderboote befinden sich auf dem Marina Gel\u00e4nde, daher haben wir freien Zutritt zum gesperrten Gebiet und k\u00f6nnen uns die &#8222;Boote&#8220; aus der N\u00e4he betrachten. F\u00fcr eine Strecke von 3.800 km! An Bord brauchen wir sie nicht, ist unn\u00f6tiger Ballast&#8230;&#8220;. <img src=\"https:\/\/atanga.de\/wp-content\/plugins\/classic-smilies\/img\/icon_smile.gif\" alt=\":-)\" class=\"wp-smiley\" style=\"height: 1em; max-height: 1em;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>F\u00fcr mich \u00fcberraschend sind viele deutlich \u00e4ltere Kerle mit dabei. Mindestens 50 plus. Alle sagen, dieses Rennen steht man nicht durch k\u00f6rperliche Kraft durch, sondern das wird im Kopf entschieden.<br \/>\nDie Solok\u00e4mpfer w\u00fcrden in keinem Fall im Team rudern wollen. Alleine sei vielleicht das Durchhalten etwas schwieriger, aber es g\u00e4be nicht die zwischenmenschlichen Reibungspunkte und Konflikte. Man w\u00fcrde sich schon &#8222;geh\u00f6rig auf den Sack gehen&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p>Intimsph\u00e4re gleich Null. Zum Pinkeln gibt es Urin-Flaschen. S\u00e4uberlich mit Namen beschriftet. Nicht auszudenken, wenn es da zu Verwechslungen kommen w\u00fcrde. <img src=\"https:\/\/atanga.de\/wp-content\/plugins\/classic-smilies\/img\/icon_mrgreen.gif\" alt=\":mrgreen:\" class=\"wp-smiley\" style=\"height: 1em; max-height: 1em;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Gewaschen wird sich mit feuchten Baby-T\u00fcchern. 12 St\u00fcck stehen jedem Ruderer pro Tag zur Verf\u00fcgung. Frisch gewaschen darf der Ruderer sich dann in die einzige Kabine zum Schlafen zur\u00fcck ziehen. F\u00fcr vier Stunden. In der Zeit rudern die anderen weiter.<br \/>\nBei den Solisten treibt das Boot im Strom mit bis zu einem Knoten Geschwindigkeit weiter dem Ziel entgegen.<\/p>\n<p>Die Organisation \u00fcberwacht, dass jedes Ruderboot Nahrung f\u00fcr 90 Tage mit an Bord dabei hat. Na, ja, was man so Nahrung nennt.<br \/>\nEs handelt sich um gefriergetrocknete K\u00f6stlichkeiten, wie Spaghetti Bolognese, Chili con Carne, aber auch Schokoladenpudding.<br \/>\nAlles hei\u00df oder kalt (w\u00fcrg) essbar. Die Pakete haben zwischen 600 und 1.000 Kalorien. Allerdings verbraucht so ein Ruderer mindestens 5.000 Kalorien am Tag. Da das Feld der Ruderer schnell weit auseinander gezogen sein wird, kann es bis zu drei Tagen dauern bis die Retter vor Ort sein k\u00f6nnen.<br \/>\nSollte eine Mannschaft dann abgeborgen werden, so wird das Ruderboot sich selbst \u00fcberlassen.
