Ebenso, wie tags\u00fcber das Bett zu benutzen. Dies wurde an der Wand hoch geklappt und der Str\u00e4fling konnte sich nur auf den Betonboden setzten.<br \/>\nDie Ern\u00e4hrung war katastrophal und der Banco war unter den Gefangenen gef\u00fcrchtet. Viel wird gegen nicht die Zerst\u00f6rung durch die Pflanzen unternommen. Gerade das macht aber den unwiderstehlichen Reiz aus.<br \/>\nIn einigen Zellenbereichen werden B\u00e4ume, die sich ansiedeln, beschnitten. Dort wo man einen rechtzeitigen Schnitt verpasst hat, machen sich Urwald-Riesen breit. Unheimlich.<br \/>\nWir k\u00f6nnen uns freuen, dass die W\u00e4nde keine Geschichten erz\u00e4hlen k\u00f6nnen. F\u00fcr die Grausamkeiten, die hier stattgefunden haben m\u00fcssen, reicht zum Gl\u00fcck die eigene Phantasie nicht aus.<\/p>\n<p>Neben dieser Ruine beschert uns St. Joseph einen der sch\u00f6nsten gelegenen Friedhof unserer Reise. Dieser war nur f\u00fcr die Beerdigung der W\u00e4rter vorgesehen.<br \/>\nDie verstorbenen Gefangenen wurden einfach ins Meer gekippt. Unter Palmen, direkt am einzigen Strand der Inseln fanden hier die W\u00e4rter ihre letzte Ruhe. Die Gr\u00e4ber sind fast alle namenlos.<br \/>\nDer Zahn der Zeit hat kaum noch eine Beschriftung \u00fcbrig gelassen. Bauch an Bauch f\u00fchren sie an der Wasseroberfl\u00e4che einen plumpen Tanz auf.
