Guyana, Tag 662, 5.699 sm von HH<\/em><\/p>\n<p>St. Laurent ist mit 45.000 Einwohnern doppelt so gro\u00df wie Kourou.<br \/>\nW\u00e4hrend Kourou ungef\u00e4hr so spannend ist, wie Wandfarbe beim Trocknen zuzuschauen, ist St. Laurent deutlich sch\u00f6ner.<br \/>\nDie Stra\u00dfen sind belebt, besonders an den Markttagen Samstag und Mittwoch.<\/p>\n<p>Einen ordentlicheren Markt habe ich noch nie gesehen.<br \/>\nEs gibt feste Gebinde-Gr\u00f6\u00dfen oder Kontingente. Alles kostet entweder einen oder zwei EUR.<br \/>\nOb das mangelnden Rechenk\u00fcnsten, Bequemlichkeit oder Cleverness (man muss eigentlich immer mehr kaufen als man will, einzelne Gurken gibt es ums Verrecken nicht) geschuldet ist, bleibt unklar.<br \/>\nDas Obst und Gem\u00fcse ist frisch und haltbar, da es noch nie eine K\u00fchlung gesehen hat.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<style style='clear: both' \/>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n<p>Es gibt viel mehr schwarze Bewohner als in Kourou und die Stra\u00dfen sind voll mit Kindern und Teenagern. Fast 60 % der Bev\u00f6lkerung ist unter 14 Jahre (in DE sind es 12% <img src=\"https:\/\/atanga.de\/wp-content\/plugins\/classic-smilies\/img\/icon_eek.gif\" alt=\":shock:\" class=\"wp-smiley\" style=\"height: 1em; max-height: 1em;\" \/> ).<\/p>\n<p>St. Laurent gilt als sicher, obwohl es grade letzte Woche zwei bewaffnete \u00dcbergriffe gegeben hat (<a href=\"http:\/\/sylili.blogspot.com\/2016\/03\/uberfall.html\/\">SY Lili<\/a>). Der erste Fall seit Jahren hier am Maroni. So hei\u00dft es.<\/p>\n<p>Wir meiden die Uferzone an der es passiert ist und f\u00fchlen uns in der Stadt sicher.<br \/>\nIch war auch schon alleine mit dem Rad im Supermarkt und hatte kein schlechtes Gef\u00fchl dabei. Das Pfefferspray, was ich mir in Las Palmas gekauft habe, bleibt an Bord.<\/p>\n<p>Wir nehmen jetzt nur noch mit, was wir ohne gro\u00dfe Verlust-Schmerzen bereit sind abzugeben.
